The Graduate Career Fair season is fast approaching and is a must for top graduates who want to meet and engage with employers face to first.
Perhaps the most well known and largest career fair of the year is the Guardian Graduate Career Fair from the Careers Group which this year takes place in London on the 19th of October. It's probably the best one-stop-shop a student or graduate could wish for. Not only are there almost 80 employers actively looking to recruit for their graduate scheme and internship opportunities but you'll also find a suite of support services from CV clinics to practice assessment centres.
It's free to attend and if you pre-register you can beat the crowds and get in an hour before the official opening time. Make sure you've done your research though. Career Fairs tend not to be brilliant opportunities to help figure out what you want to do. But if you've got an idea of which Industry or Sector you're interested in they're a great place to network with companies, find out what roles they offer and get the inside scoop they don't publish in tehir brochures...
