Santander Graduate Finance Scheme

Ready to build your future with one of the UK’s largest banks and second largest provider of mortgages and savings?

As part of the Santander Group, we enjoy all the backing of a global bank with 132,000 employees, 69 million customers and 11,180 branches in 40 countries – so we’re really going places. You can join us on our journey.

Our Finance roles will give you the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and progressive organisation, offering you real career development, whilst enabling you to contribute to business performance.

You'll gain outstanding accounting experience, from core financial accounting skills to complex modelling. You will develop your analytical and presentation skills and learn to manage stakeholders effectively.

You'll be working at Trainee Accountant level in real roles within key parts of the finance function as you progress towards completing professional accountancy qualifications. We'll support and sponsor you to complete your ACCA or CIMA qualification. The ACCA has awarded us platinum employer status and we have been accredited as a CIMA Development Partner, for the quality of our training and our ongoing support to current affiliates.

Placements will be primarily at our head office in London, but for certain rotations you'll need to be willing to live and work in Milton Keynes or Leicester.

14 February 2010

Candidates from numerate degrees are encouraged to apply but will need to evidence a high level of business acumen. We'll also expect you to have some understanding of the financial services industry already, and have an open-minded, proactive approach to work. Analytical and with the confidence to challenge, you must be computer literate and competent in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
