    • An Introduction to Nabarro

    • Our strapline tells you that Clarity Matters. Until you work with us it might sound like just another catchy phrase, devoid of real substance. In fact, it sums up a truth about Nabarro that links everything we do and underpins our business, our culture and our ideas about recruitment.

There are so many firms, so many brochures and websites, and so many deadlines.  Spelling out clearly what you can expect with us - and what we expect from you - will give you a necessary understanding of the Nabarro culture. That's important.

    • Training and Development

    • We provide an unrivalled quality of training and have plenty of opportunities for career development. You will undertake six four-month seats to ensure maximum exposure to the firm's core practice areas as well as having the opportunity to spend time in more specialist areas.

Our culture will ensure that you are part of a training programme and you will be encouraged and supported along the way. Our aim, as well as to make you a good lawyer, is to help you become a confident and well-rounded individual.

Once your training contract is confirmed we maintain regular contact with you in the two years before you join us. When you start your training contract you will be assigned a mentor (a partner) who will be there to act as a sounding board and to assist and support you during your training contract.

    • What We're Looking For

    • Applications are welcomed from undergraduates and postgraduates from all disciplines.  For law students, applications can be made in the penultimate year of your Law degree at the earliest.  Non-law students must be, as a minimum, in the autumn/spring term of your final year to apply.

We are committed to making the most of diverse skills, expertise, experience, attitudes and backgrounds.  Accordingly, there is no typical Nabarro trainee.  You will however be required to display a strong academic record (minimum 3 B's at A-Level, 2:1 at degree level).

Additionally, in keeping with our clients' needs we will look not just to your academic ability.  We also want you to demonstrate a flexibility of thinking and a flair for creative problem solving that will allow you to provide our clients with the best advice and assistance.  You will need to demonstrate a genuinely positive attitude and proactive approach.  We will also look to your interpersonal, team working and entrepreneurial skills, as well as your drive and enthusiasm.

When reviewing your application we will consider work experience (both legal and non legal), sporting and other achievements, community involvement and any positions of responsibility (past and current).

    • Our Summer Scheme

    • An essential way to find out more about Nabarro is to apply for a place on our summer vacation programme. We offer three-week placements in both our UK offices. You will be based in one department under the supervision of an associate and you will have an opportunity to get really involved in the work that we do. There is a comprehensive programme of events in place to ensure you gain a broad view of life at Nabarro. We place great importance on our summer scheme and recruit the majority of our trainees this way.
