    • Why MediaCom?

    • Mediacom is the UK's favourite media agency. That's not our opinion; it's the considered verdict of the UK marketing community.

In Marketing Week's most recent Agency Reputation survey - conducted among clients - MediaCom was voted the best media agency in the country (in fact we came number two out of all agencies, including creative agencies). We were also named as the media agency that offers clients the best value.

Every year Media Week publish the Ocean Consulting Survey of media agencies. We have consistently been recognised by media owners as the best performing agency overall, the best for all-round professionalism, the best for buying and we scored highly for strategic planning.

Over the past five years we have been named Media Agency of the Year by Campaign, Marketing and Media Week.

There are many people who will tell you that "all the big agencies are the same". Don't believe them. Look around our site, or contact us to find out what makes MediaCom the UK's favourite.

    • What Do We Do?

    • MediaCom is responsible for planning and buying the advertising for some of the world’s biggest companies – among them Procter & Gamble, Shell, Glaxo Smithkline, Royal Bank of Scotland, Nokia, Masterfoods, VW and Universal.

    • What is Planning and Buying Advertising?

    • Well, the first thing that we do, using various research techniques at our disposal, is to determine with our clients who their most likely customers might be. Having done this, we are now able to calculate which media these potential customers see, read or hear the most . This allows us to "plan" an advertising campaign, that reaches our intended audience, with the minimum amount of wastage.

Having written the "plan", we now work alongside creative agencies, who actually make the ads. Once these are made, it then becomes our job to get the ads onto the television and into the different newspapers etc.

This is what we call the buying of media, where we negotiate the best possible prices with the television and radio stations, newspapers, magazines and outdoor companies for the space or airtime bought.
