Summer Internships

We think the difference between Lloyds Banking Group and other graduate careers is pretty clear. Nowhere else will you enjoy the same exposure or the same scope. Nowhere else will you be able to have such an impact on the future of banking in the UK and beyond.

But we don’t just want you to take our word for it.

Over the summer months we offer a limited number of university students the chance to do a 10-week internship and to discover just how much a career with us can offer. It’s not just a great opportunity to gain some useful work experience and bolster your CV. It could also be the beginning of a fantastic and rewarding career.

We offer internships in the same five areas we offer graduate programmes:

> Business Technology
> Corporate Markets
> Finance
> General Management
> HR

Whichever one you join, you’ll be able to work on real projects and to have real impact and influence on their success.

To make sure you experience everything Lloyds Banking Group has to offer, you’ll also be encouraged to take part in additional activities such as charity events, local community work and involvement in the build-up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

We’re looking for talented people with passion, commitment and drive. If you think you have what it takes, and you want to get a real insight into life at Lloyds Banking Group, then Click Here to find out more about what makes us different

The process is relatively straightforward. Please note that this is an overview of the application process for graduate schemes; for internships this will vary slightly. You can find out more by visiting the Hints and Tips section on our website.

The application process is:

Step 1: Online application.

Step 2: Psychometric tests.

Step 3: Competency-based telephone interview (this will last approximately 50 minutes).

Step 4: Assessment Centre. This will include more psychometric testing and a group exercise in the morning. Complete these successfully and you’ll be asked to stay for an afternoon interview and Fact Find exercise too. (For internships this will be a half day assessment centre).

Step 5: We’ll be in touch shortly after the Assessment Centre to let you know if you have been successful.
