Career Service Desktop Download

Born from a charitable trust, CareerPlayer is a multi-award winning website designed to help students figure out what they want to do.

It's also a free resource to help career services provide engaging and interactive information about different industries and career paths.

One of the key features of CareerPlayer is the biggest career video library onlineAll of the videos have been funded by us to ensure editorial independence and an honest account of industries and job roles. 

Star S Many career services have asked how they can take advantage of this resource and make it quick and simple for students to access the CareerPlayer video library. As a result we've created a simple desktop icon that hyperlinks directly to CareerPlayer. Instructions on how to download this icon are below.

Desktop Download

Downloading the CareerPlayer shortcut to your desktop takes less than a minute and is incredibly straightforward. It will create a simple graphic that sits on the computer desktop and links to our video library. Simply follow the instructions below or print them off for easy reference:

> Click on the desktop download icon above to get started

> A pop-up window will appear asking whether you want to run or save the file.
Click the Run button.

> A second prompt may appear asking whether you're sure you want to run the software. Click Run if this appears.

> A welcome screen will appear for the CareerPlayer Install.
Click Next.

> You will now been shown the directory where the program will be installed.
Click Next to continue.

> A pop-up window will appear stating that the directory doesn't exist and asking if you want it to be created.
Select Yes.

> You are now ready to make the installation.
Click the Start Button.

> That's it. The installation is complete. Click on the exit button and take a look at your desktop for a shiny new CareerPlayer icon.

Star S To make it even easier for your students to access the biggest career video library online why not drag the icon to the start button at the very bottom left of the screen and add it to the top of the start menu.
